Commercial Cooling and Heating Load Calculations

Trane Trace Computerized HVAC Cooling Load Calculations based on ASHRAE (American Society of Heating Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers) standards.

Residential Manual J Calculations

Manual J Calculations is the ACCA (Air Conditioning Contractors of America) approved method of calculating room by room and whole house cooling loads and cooling loads.  Energy Codes and Building Codes require room by room calculations to determine the required capacity of a new or replacement HVAC Systems.   HVAC systems sized too large or too small have adverse effects on the building including temperature and/or humidity problems.  Additionally, over-sized HVAC systems result in unnecessary high energy and utility bills.

Residential Manual D Calculations

Manual D Calculations is the ACCA (Air Conditioning Contractors of America) approved method of calculating the required air duct sizes for each room based on the Manual J calculations.  Energy Codes and Building Codes require room by room calculations to determine the required supply and return air ducts for new or replacement HVAC Systems.   The results are properly sized supply and return ducts based on velocity and pressure/friction loss.

Residential Manual S Calculations

Manual S Equipment selection is the ACCA (Air Conditioning Contractors of America) approved method of calculating room by room and whole house cooling loads and cooling loads.  Energy Codes and Building Codes require room by room calculations to determine the required capacity of a new or replacement HVAC Systems.  The manual S equipment selection certifies that the selected HVAC system is properly sized for the equipment capacity and meets the criteria of the Manual J and Manual D calculations.
