EK Engineering, P.C. provides comprehensive Plumbing CAD Design Drawings and Specifications including Backflow Prevention that are specific to the clients project requirements and budget.  We design for small to large projects for residential, commercial, institutional and industrial projects.  Prior to the start of construction, Design Drawings and Specifications that are signed and sealed by a licensed Professional Engineer are required to be submitted for approval to the Building Department Having Jurisdiction. The Design Drawings and Specifications must be in accordance with the the applicable Building Codes. Our Design Engineering Services include the following: 

 

• Backflow Prevention Device application by New York State Licensed Professional Engineer as required by New York City Department of Environmental Protection, NYC DEP.

• Backflow Prevention Device design by New York State Licensed Professional Engineer as required by New York State Department of Health, NYS DOH, Nassau County DOH, Suffolk County Water Authority

• Backflow Prevention Devices prevent contaminated water or chemicals from flowing back into the drinking water supply if there is a sudden unexpected change in water pressure.

• There is a risk of contamination in facilities such as Bakery, Bidets, Car Wash, Dye Plant, Photo Laboratory, Laundry Facility, Dental Office and Laboratory, In-ground Sprinkler System, Multiple Water System, Auto Body Repair Shop, Beauty Salon, Chemically Treated Boiler, Dry Cleaner, Commercial Kitchen, Gas Station, Mini Mart, Pharmacy, Swimming Pool, Cooling Tower, Chiller Plant, Water Cooled Equipment and Water Storage Tank
